He is known to the world as I-Octane, but those closest to him he is Byiome Muir from Sandy Bay Clarendon with big dreams. His desire was to become an architect but he couldn’t seem to escape the call of the music.
At age 16 he began his recording career. In 2000 Muir released his first singles, "Oh Jah" and "Stepp a Seed", with Penthouse Records under the moniker Richie Rich which he later changed to I-Octane, a play on high-octane fuel. Since then I-Octane has continued to capture the attention and hearts of fans worldwide with no indication of slowing down.
CEM got the chance to do a Q&A with this talented singer with an uniquely powerful voice.
