After eleven years of being that vivacious maiden with a mollifying voice that could calm the most indignant beast; Zip FM media personality Jade earlier this week tendered her resignation bringing her tenure with the station to an end.
The move comes as a shock to many within the entertainment realm. Over the last decade, Jade whose given name is Jadeen McGhie has been instrumental as a newscaster and producer in shaping the image and sound of Zip FM, one of Jamaica's leading media powerhouses, with her expansive knowledge base relating to news and entertainment augmented by her enthralling theatrics. Alluding to her departure Jade said, "It is with a heavy heart that I walk away from my position as Producer and Presenter at Zip FM but change is a necessary part of life. As I continue my journey in embracing new opportunities, it would be remiss of me to not thank the entire Zip FM, Grove Broadcasting team and the listening public for the invaluable experiences, lessons learnt along the way and support for which I am eternally grateful." When quizzed about her next move Jade was very tight lipped but has promised all will be revealed in due course.
