Nazzleman is the 2018 Festival Song Winner with "Jamaica A Wi Home"


O'Neil Scott, aka 'Nazzleman', is the winner of the the 2018 Jamaica Cultural Development Commission's (JCDC) Festival Song Competition, with his song “Jamaica A Wi Home”. The competition was Sunday night at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre.

This is the second win for Nazzleman who won the competition back in 2016 with his song ‘No Weh Like Jamaica’.

"Everybody know seh me deserve dah one yah cause me work hard," Nazzleman sang as he invited fellow contestants to the stage.

Nazzleman walked away with the winning trophy and $2 million for being the writer and singer of the song.

The Jamaica Festival Song Competition, which started in 1966, has helped to launch and advance the careers of some of Jamaica’s acclaimed singers and song writers. Winners of the Festival Song Competition have included Toots and the Maytals, Desmond Decker, Ernie Smith, Tinga Stewart, Eric Donaldson, Roy Rayon, Stanley Beckford and Heather Grant.
