Dancehall artist Siah Boss, whose real name is Josiah Mc Clatchie was shot and killed in a police-involved shootout in Santa Cruz.

According to a police report, around 5.30 p.m. Sunday, officers were on Sun Valley Road in Lower Santa Cruz investigating a complaint of a suspicious car containing males armed with guns.

According to the Guardian, the officers allegedly saw the vehicle driving towards them and crashed into the police vehicle following an order to stop. The driver exited the car brandishing a pistol and pointing it at them.

The police stated, they shot at the fleeing guy. When he was being held, police claim they realized he had been shot and transported him to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, where he was subsequently declared dead.

The other two passengers of the car, a 23-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman from Picton Road in Laventille, were arrested for interrogation.

Police allegedly discovered and seized one Smith & Wesson pistol in Mc Clatchie's possession, along with a magazine containing four rounds of 9mm ammo.

Josiah “Siah Boss” Mc Clatchie was the second artiste to be killed by police since week. On Saturday, police officers reportedly shot and murdered Jaheim Joseph, 19, also known as "Chucky Blanco" in the local dancehall scene.
