Responsibilities
Build robust backend services for a risk intelligence and compliance decision-support platform.
Develop data pipelines to ingest live regulatory and risk data from external sources and APIs, ensuring seamless data integration.
Create LLM-powered workflows to convert complex regulatory text into structured, machine-readable rules.
Define structured rule schemas, including predicates, outcomes, citations, confidence scores, and versioning for precise rule management.
Implement deterministic rules and decision logic to accurately classify transactions and risk scenarios.
Develop reliable backend APIs, services, and data-processing workflows to support platform functionality.
Implement validation, confidence scoring, error handling, and fallback mechanisms to ensure the reliability of LLM-generated outputs.
Facilitate human-in-the-loop review and approval processes before rules are utilized by downstream systems.
Ensure traceability, versioning, reproducibility, and auditability of regulatory rules and decisions.
Test extraction and rule performance against real-world test cases and accuracy benchmarks.
Collaborate closely with domain and compliance stakeholders to validate outputs and refine decision logic.
Proven experience in productionizing LLM-powered applications, extending beyond prototypes or prompt experimentation.
Expertise in structured data extraction from unstructured text, including schema-constrained outputs such as JSON, entities, rules, or predicates.
Strong backend engineering skills, preferably in Python or a comparable backend language.
Experience in building APIs, data pipelines, external data integrations, and production backend services.
Proficiency in LLM evaluation and reliability, including accuracy measurement, validation, confidence scoring, retries, fallbacks, and ambiguity handling.
Experience with implementing structured rules, conditional logic, decision workflows, or deterministic systems.
Familiarity with human-in-the-loop AI workflows requiring review or approval before execution.
Capability to build systems prioritizing correctness, traceability, and auditability.
Nice to Have
Experience with rules engines, policy engines, predicate logic, or decision engines.
Background in legaltech, RegTech, fintech, compliance, healthcare, insurance, or other regulated environments.
Experience in processing regulatory, legal, policy, or compliance documents.
Exposure to export controls, sanctions, BIS regulations, EU AI Act, or similar regulatory frameworks.
Experience building live external data feeds or regulatory intelligence pipelines.
Background in NLP, document intelligence, information extraction, or knowledge representation.
