Meet Winston Wright, a 25-year-old Correctional Officer from St. Thomas, Jamaica, as he prepares to represent his country at the 23rd edition of the Manhunt International Male Supermodel Competition. Winston is making history as the first Jamaican in 21 years to participate in this prestigious event.
Founded in 1993, Manhunt International is a global search for the best male models, with representatives from around the world competing for the ultimate title.

Here's a closer look at Winston's journey, thoughts, and aspirations:
How would you describe yourself in three words?
Winston: Self-disciplined, Patriotic, and Humble. These are the three building blocks that define me.
What makes you a male model?
Winston: I’d say my physique and symmetrical face. But modeling isn’t just about physical attributes. It’s also about versatility—the ability to work in different markets as a photographic, runway, or editorial model. My discipline, cultivated as a Correctional Officer, has taught me to always be prepared and adaptable.
What’s the difference between being a Correctional Officer and a Supermodel? Which do you prefer and why?
Winston: The two are worlds apart, like fire and ice. Being a Correctional Officer means navigating a hostile environment where aggression, roughness, and fear are daily realities. In contrast, being a Supermodel requires poise, elegance, and a relaxed demeanor.
As for preference, both roles hold significant value in my life. It’s not a “blue pill, red pill” situation for me—I love my job and I equally enjoy being in front of the camera and on stage.
How excited are you about the 23rd edition of Manhunt International?
Winston: I’m thrilled to be the first Jamaican in 21 years to compete in this prestigious event. It’s a tremendous opportunity to showcase Jamaica’s culture, fashion, and entertainment on an international stage. It’s also a chance to gain exposure and further develop myself as an international model.
What’s your current obsession?
Winston: The gym! I’m obsessed with improving my physique and pushing myself to new limits.
What’s your model beauty secret?
Winston: My diet is my secret weapon. I eat as healthily as possible, avoiding sugar, fatty, and greasy foods.
What’s your secret talent?
Winston: Writing poetry and screenplays. It’s a creative outlet that I deeply enjoy.
Which actor do you admire most?
Winston: It’s a tough choice between Jake Gyllenhaal and Christian Bale. Christian’s discipline is remarkable—he’s transformed his body countless times for roles. Jake, on the other hand, fully embodies every character he plays, which is truly inspiring.
Who is one person you’re dying to meet?
Winston: Tyson Beckford. He paved the way for Jamaican male models, and I’d love to meet and learn from him.
What are you most looking forward to when you arrive in Thailand for the Manhunt World Final?
Winston: I’m excited about the camaraderie—the “brotherhood” among contestants—and the thrill of the competition. I also look forward to learning about the cultures of the other participants and sharing Jamaica’s rich culture with them. Most of all, I hope to make history by becoming the first Jamaican to win the Manhunt International title.
