Keznamdi/Jesse Royal for Reggae Sumfest Jamaica

Montego Bay, St. James - The greatest reggae show on earth, Reggae Sumfest is scheduled to unfold on July 12th to July 18th in Montego Bay, with an amazing line up of talent.

Jesse Royal

Organizers have confirmed that ‘young lions’ - Jesse Royal and Keznamdi have joined the line up for International Night One dubbed Showtime - Friday July 17th. These upcoming roots reggae singers promise they will ignite the stage with the strong cultural vibes the festival is known for.

Last year’s staging of the event saw Jesse Royal delivering a memorable set with hits like ‘So Long Rastafari Call You’, ‘Hotter the Battle’, ‘Modern Day Judas’ among others. He expressed that he’s truly honoured to once again be a part of the event and will bring more conscious music and entertainment to the stage.

“I’m truly honoured to be gracing the stage of one of the most premiere events in the World where Reggae is concerned and otherwise. It's truly a blessing and a joy to have the legacies intertwine,” Jesse Royal said.

“Fans can expect much more than entertainment! St. James is near and dear to I heart. That's really where my journey started so they can expect a Rootical Vibe!” Jesse Royal added.

Keznamdi

Keznamdi is no stranger to the Sumfest stage as he performed with Jah Cure on International Night One and Chronixx on International Night Two in 2013. He returned the following year, doing an acoustic set on the small stage and is back this year with his own band ready to ignite the Greatest Reggae Show on Earth.

“This performance is really special to me seeing that I’ll be performing with my band. Everyone can expect conscious progressive music that is full of energy and of course, expect the unexpected. I love performing and connecting with people through my music. Exchanging energy with people through my music is a powerful and has always been a blessed feeling,” Keznamdi said.
