St Lucia to host The return of Natural Hair!

Over the last two weeks there has been a tremendous buzz in the natural hair community as St. Lucia is set to host its first ever Natural Hair Seminar themed; “The Return of Natural Hair” hosted by Cocktails and Contacts in collaboration with Bryden & Partners and EC Global Angel Advantage.

Other Sponsors of the seminar are Digital Kitchen (a Subsidiary of A.I.M), Palm Haven Hotel, and RJB Hotel Supplies Island Oasis.

The event is the brainchild of Ms. Shernell Lionel who is a recent convert to natural hair and admits that the concept of the event is simply a direct result of the growing number of persons wanting to grow and maintain their hair naturally, but have no idea how to.

So what can one expect at the Natural Hair Seminar? If you’re a natural hair enthusiast or thinking about going natural then you can’t afford not to attend! This educational seminar will be facilitated by renowned celebrity hair stylist, Deborah Sullivan from Atlanta, Georgia.

Also in attendance will be Azelia Glace George, Registered Dietitian& Nutritionist, who will be speaking on hair and health. Guests will witness and participate in: product demonstrations, natural hair supplements and “the Big Chop”. Attendees will be treated to lunch from the delectable menu of Palm Haven and healthy afternoon smoothies from Island Oasis.

Guest Presenter at the Natural Hair Seminar Deborah Sullivan stated “We are born with the hair we are born with, it is up to us to figure out what to do with it. Most of us believe our coiled, natural hair is a struggle. Thanks to Bio Care Curls and Natura, the struggle gets easier by the moment.”

Anne Marie Herman, Agency Manager of Platinum Sponsor EC Global, said “EC Global is pleased to lend support to this significant seminar which particularly benefits women, through our contribution as Platinum sponsors.

As the sole provider of an insurance policy designed exclusively for women – the Angel Advantage Policy, our support for this seminar was a natural one. We recognize our role as a socially responsible entity, to contribute to the empowerment of women in making sound decisions, whether it be insurance or any other pertinent areas which impact their lives.”

The Natural Hair Seminar will take place on September 26th at the Palm Haven Hotel, from 10:00 am to 4:30pm. Tickets cost $75 and can be purchased from Shoe Rehab at the JQ Mall or at the event. To book your spot at the event you can register online or call 716-6827.
