As mother nature is often unpredictable, last week's December 10th schedule date for the anticipated Christmas on 15th Avenue Event was postponed due to heavy rains and strong winds. But children and families do not need to be disappointed as Mr. Terry Elliott, Sr.and his devoted wife and business partner Mrs. Sherria Elliott have announced that "Xmas on 15th" will take place December 17thas all are invited to the joyous Block Party!
Amid their many ventures and altruistic causes, the yearly Christmas on 15th Avenue Event is the only Charity that showcases the city's best food, cherished icons and community causes with the involvement of local celebrities and special guests. Speaking on this celebration, Mrs. Sherria Elliott explained, "Christmas on 15th which began in 2007 is the brainchild of myself and my husband Terry Elliott, Sr. along with Von Carol Kinchens and started out of the need to give a joyful Christmas to children of impoverished neighborhoods." Ark of the City, 9th Annual "Xmas on 15th" Block Party on December 17th in Miami, FL will take place from noon to 4pm at 6849 NW 15th ave, in Miami Florida. The honorable City of Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado, City Manager Daniel J Alfonso, Commissioner Keon Hardemon, Commissioner Frances Suarez, State Representative Roy Hardemon, School board vice chair Dr.Dorothy Bendross Mendingall, CEO, President of the urban league of greater Miami, T. Willard, Miami Gardens Mayor Oliver Gilbert will be in attendance to celebrate with the community.
