In a moment of pride for the Caribbean and an unprecedented triumph for Martinique, Aurélie Joachim was crowned Miss World Caribbean 2025 during the 72nd edition of the Miss World pageant, held on May 31 in Hyderabad, India. But her accolades didn’t stop there—Aurélie also made history as the first woman from Martinique to place as 3rd Runner-Up at Miss World, the highest placement the island has ever achieved in the competition’s history.

A Star is Crowned
Aurélie stood out from the very beginning. Representing Martinique with grace, intellect, and poise, she captured hearts not just in the Caribbean, but around the globe. Her crowning as Miss World Caribbean was a defining moment—not just for her personally, but for an entire region hungry for more representation on the international stage.
The Miss World title itself was claimed by Suchata Opal Chuangsri of Thailand, with Jessica Pedroso of Brazil named Miss World Americas. Though Trinidad and Tobago’s Anna-Lise represented her country with charm and charisma, she did not advance into the Top 5 of the Americas and Caribbean region.
But it was Aurélie who rose as a symbol of Caribbean excellence.
The Woman Behind the Crown
Beyond her stunning runway presence and radiant beauty, Aurélie Joachim is a woman of depth and ambition. A Master’s student in Business Management, she also serves as the Artistic Director of Créola Magazine, a publication that celebrates Caribbean identity and women’s empowerment.
Fluent in French, English, Spanish, and Creole, Aurélie blends her academic expertise with a creative spirit. Her passions extend far beyond fashion and beauty—she has a fascination with quantum physics, and once held the title of high jump champion in Martinique. Her personal motto, “Life MUST go on,” speaks to a resilient nature shaped by both challenges and dreams.
Elegance with Purpose
Aurélie’s journey through the Miss World competition was more than a display of glamour. She won the Top Model challenge for the Americas and Caribbean, proving herself a commanding presence on the runway. But her heart lies in advocacy. Through her “Beauty with a Purpose” project, she champions the creation of support groups for individuals facing emotional and social struggles. She believes deeply in building safe spaces where people feel heard, valued, and uplifted.
A Voice for the Caribbean
As Miss World Caribbean, Aurélie now steps into a larger role—as a cultural ambassador for Martinique and the wider Caribbean. She plans to use her platform to promote Caribbean heritage, amplify underrepresented voices, and pursue a career in the entertainment industry.
Her fellow contestants in the Americas and Caribbean region celebrated her achievement with joy and emotion—a reflection of the impact she had throughout the competition.
Crowning Dreams in Telangana
The 72nd Miss World pageant was hosted in Telangana, India—a place where dreams were not only celebrated but crowned. From India to Martinique, from the Americas to Asia, the event spotlighted a truly global tapestry of beauty, culture, and purpose.
With her historic placement and multidimensional talent, Aurélie Joachim has not only redefined what it means to be Miss World Caribbean—she has inspired an entire generation of young Caribbean women to dream beyond borders.
A new queen has risen—and her crown shines bright with purpose, pride, and promise.
