Music mogul reportedly suffered a head injury following an alleged confrontation with the former Tivoli Gardens strongman at a New Jersey federal prison.

American music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs reportedly suffered a serious head injury following a violent confrontation with notorious Jamaican drug kingpin Christopher “Dudus” Coke inside a federal prison in New Jersey, according to new allegations published Wednesday, October 14, 2026.

The reported altercation occurred at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Fort Dix, where both men are serving federal prison sentences. According to TMZ, multiple sources inside the correctional facility claimed the two inmates fought on Friday, October 9, with Coke allegedly gaining the upper hand.

Combs, 56, reportedly sustained a head injury that required emergency medical attention. He was transported from the prison by ambulance early Saturday morning, October 10, before returning to federal custody.

While Combs' hospitalization has been independently reported, the allegation that Coke caused his injury in a fight has not been independently confirmed by prison authorities.

What Reportedly Sparked the Fight Between Diddy and Dudus?

According to TMZ's October 14 report, tensions allegedly escalated following media coverage of Combs' unusually comfortable lifestyle behind bars.

A September investigation by NBC News alleged that the Bad Boy Records founder had access to contraband items and privileges, including a cellphone, alcoholic beverages, special meals and personal services from fellow inmates.

Following the report, prison officials allegedly conducted searches and confiscated prohibited items, including cellphones belonging to other prisoners.

Sources cited by TMZ claimed that Coke was among the inmates angered by the increased scrutiny and loss of privileges. The Jamaican convict reportedly blamed Combs for attracting unwanted attention to the prison's internal activities.

The confrontation allegedly occurred while Combs was outside his Special Housing Unit during a daily break.

TMZ further reported that both men received two weeks of disciplinary confinement following the incident. However, federal prison officials have not publicly verified those specific allegations.

Who Is Christopher ‘Dudus’ Coke?

Christopher Michael Coke, widely known as “Dudus,” is one of Jamaica's most notorious former criminal figures.

The former leader of the Shower Posse controlled a powerful criminal network associated with Tivoli Gardens in West Kingston. His influence extended beyond organized crime into the social and political dynamics of the community, where he maintained considerable local support.

Coke became internationally known during the 2010 Tivoli Gardens operation, when Jamaican security forces moved into the community amid efforts to execute a United States extradition request.

The operation resulted in widespread violence and the deaths of dozens of civilians, marking one of the darkest episodes in Jamaica's modern history.

Coke was eventually arrested and extradited to the United States, where he pleaded guilty to federal racketeering and assault-related charges.

In 2012, he was sentenced to 23 years in federal prison.

In May 2017 Coke had been transferred to FCI Fort Dix, the same federal institution where Combs is currently incarcerated.

Conflicting Reports Surround Diddy's Head Injury

The circumstances surrounding Combs' injury have generated conflicting accounts.

Earlier reporting from Page Six suggested that the entertainment mogul injured himself after accidentally striking his head against an upper bunk bed.

However, TMZ's subsequent October 14 investigation presented a different account, attributing the injury to the alleged confrontation with Coke.

Combs had been transported to a hospital. The injury was described as non-life-threatening, and he reportedly returned to prison later that day.

Combs' spokesperson, Juda Engelmayer, previously acknowledged the reports and said his team was working to establish what had happened.

The representative emphasized that Combs' health and well-being remained the immediate priority.

Neither the bunk-bed explanation nor the alleged fight with Coke has been conclusively established through a publicly released official incident report.

Diddy's Prison Troubles Continue

The latest allegations come amid growing scrutiny of Combs' conduct while incarcerated.

The former music executive is serving a 50-month federal sentence following his 2025 conviction on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.

Recent reports have detailed disciplinary violations involving alleged physical altercations and unauthorized cellphone use.

Combs lost 41 days of good-conduct credit and 400 days of commissary privileges following disciplinary proceedings.

His projected release date has reportedly shifted from January 21, 2028, to March 2, 2028.

The reported confrontation with Coke adds another controversy to an already turbulent period of incarceration for the former hip-hop mogul.

Why the Alleged Diddy and Dudus Confrontation Is Drawing Attention in Jamaica

For Jamaican audiences, the alleged involvement of Christopher “Dudus” Coke gives the story particular significance.

Although Coke has been imprisoned in the United States for more than a decade, his name remains closely associated with the 2010 Tivoli Gardens crisis, the influence of organized crime in Jamaica and the country's complicated history of political patronage.

The possibility of a confrontation between Coke and one of America's most recognizable entertainment figures has consequently attracted attention beyond the usual celebrity-news audience.

Nevertheless, the most serious claims surrounding the incident continue to rely on anonymous prison sources.

Until prison officials or other independently verifiable evidence establish what occurred, reports that Coke assaulted Combs should be treated as allegations rather than confirmed facts.

For now, what is established is that Combs received hospital treatment for a head injury and returned to federal custody. Whether that injury resulted from an altercation with Jamaica's former Tivoli Gardens strongman remains unresolved.
