Jamaica will make history on the international pageant stage this October as Vaughn Miller becomes the first Jamaican to compete in Mister Model International. The 2026 edition marks the competition’s 10th anniversary, with the grand final scheduled for October 26, 2026.
A proud Jamaican, U.S. military service member, model, and entrepreneur, Miller brings a story rooted in faith, discipline, perseverance, and national pride. Having represented Jamaica on other pageant stages, he now enters Mister Model International with the goal of doing more than competing—he hopes to inspire young men across Jamaica to believe in themselves, dream beyond their circumstances, and pursue their goals with confidence.
Ahead of the final, Caribbean EMagazine spoke with Miller about the significance of this milestone, his modeling journey, what sets this competition apart, and how he hopes to use the Mister Model International platform if he wins.
Q&A with Vaughn Miller
1. How does it feel to be the first Jamaican to enter the Mister Model International contest?
It feels incredibly humbling and empowering to make history as the first Jamaican to enter the Mister Model International competition. I carry the black, green, and gold with immense pride, knowing I am representing not just myself, but my country, its resilience, culture, and spirit. This is more than a personal achievement; it is an opportunity to inspire others to dream boldly, break barriers, and believe that anything is possible with faith, determination, and hard work.
2. Tell us a little about yourself.
My name is Vaughn Miller, a proud Jamaican, U.S. military service member, model, and entrepreneur. I am a man of faith, discipline, and perseverance who believes that our circumstances do not define our destiny. Having represented Jamaica on various pageant stages, I continue to pursue opportunities that challenge me to grow and inspire others. Through my journey, I hope to encourage young men across Jamaica to believe in themselves, dream beyond their circumstances, and understand that with hard work, determination, and faith, their dreams can become reality.
3. Tell us a little about the competition.
Mister Model International is an international platform that brings together delegates from around the world to celebrate fashion, culture, diversity, and talent. Beyond physical appearance, the competition emphasizes confidence, character, purpose, and the ability to be an exemplary leader. It is about demonstrating that true greatness goes beyond outer beauty; it is reflected in our actions, values, influence, and commitment to inspiring others while proudly representing our countries on the global stage.
4. What is your favorite color?
My favorite color is red. To me, red represents passion, strength, confidence, and determination—qualities that inspire me to pursue my dreams and give my best in everything I do.
5. How is this pageant different from the others you have entered?
What makes Mister Model International different is its emphasis on more than modeling and physical appearance. It challenges us to be well-rounded men who embody leadership, cultural pride, confidence, and purpose. For me, this competition is especially meaningful because I am making history as the first Jamaican to participate. I see this as an opportunity not only to showcase my country’s beauty and culture but also to demonstrate that a true model is defined by character, influence, and the positive impact he makes on others.
6. Have you walked in any major fashion shows?
Yes, I have had the opportunity to walk in Thailand Fashion Show and Miami Fashion Week. These experiences have allowed me to grow as a model, gain international exposure, and strengthen my confidence on the runway. Each experience has contributed to my journey, pushing me to evolve, embrace new challenges, and continue representing Jamaica with pride on the international stage.
7. If you could change one thing about your life, what would it be and why?
If I could change one thing about my life, it would be to believe in myself sooner and recognize my potential earlier. There were moments when challenges and self-doubt made the journey difficult, but every setback taught me resilience and strengthened my faith. Today, I understand that every experience has shaped the man I am becoming. I wouldn't change my struggles because they have taught me that my circumstances do not define me, and my dreams are always worth fighting for.
8. What are you looking forward to most at Mister Model International?
What I look forward to most at Mister Model International is the opportunity to represent Jamaica with pride, connect with men from different cultures, and showcase that true modeling goes beyond physical appearance. I am excited to demonstrate leadership, character, and purpose while inspiring young men back home to believe in themselves and pursue their dreams fearlessly. Most importantly, I look forward to making history and leaving a lasting impact that extends beyond the runway.
9. What would you do with the Mister Model International title if you won it?
If I were to win the Mister Model International title, I would use it as a platform to inspire, empower, and create meaningful change. I want to encourage young men, especially across Jamaica, to believe in their potential, dream beyond their circumstances, and understand that success is possible through faith, discipline, and perseverance. I would strive to be an exemplary leader who represents more than physical beauty, demonstrating integrity, compassion, and purpose. For me, the title would not simply be an achievement; it would be a responsibility to serve, inspire, and leave a lasting legacy that extends far beyond the runway.
10. Name three things you can’t live without.
Three things I can't live without are God, my family, and my dreams. God is my source of strength and direction, my family reminds me of the importance of love and staying grounded, and my dreams give me purpose and motivation to keep pushing forward, even when life gets difficult. Together, they remind me of who I am, where I come from, and the man I aspire to become.
