Dancehall Reggae artist, Cham and Madhouse Records are pleased to formally announce the recent single release of “Money Wine.” Coupled with a music video that is currently available on Youtube and Cham’s Vevo channel, the single was first released a week ago as part of a soft launch. The effort is part of a greater announcement involving the rollout of a new album slated for release in May 2017. Cham’s last album, Ghetto Story was published in August 2006; leaving fans wholeheartedly waiting for the next major record from the Jamaican-born Deejay. Ultimately, “Money wine” serves as an enthusiastic sneak peek to whet fan’s appetite in anticipation of the album that is appropriately named LAWLESS.
In light of the new release, Cham will be visiting New York from April 5th through the 12th before taking off for Europe. The premise of his visit is to connect with his key supporters, Disc jockeys, Promoters and members of the media. Significantly, Cham will hold an exclusive listening engagement with a select group of journalist and bloggers taking place closer to the release of the album. As in the past, Cham’s management team wants to ensure he remains accessible to his core group of supporters who have helped propel him to superstardom.
In the next few days and weeks, the media and fans alike will be made aware of Cham’s upcoming schedule. Recently, the management team has enlisted the assistance of a new communications team to handle the New York Press Run. According to his manager, “To put it mildly, this is a momentous project. Fans have been waiting with bated breath for Cham’s third album. We want to make sure everyone is fully informed”. Cham is releasing Lawless under the sole leadership of Dave Kelly and Madhouse Records after concluding his relationship with Atlantic Records back in 2015.
Cham’s music has undoubtedly impacted the Reggae Dancehall genre and culture as a whole. He has collaborated with such artists as Alicia Keys, Rick Ross, and Foxy Brown. In 2013, Cham worked with Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley to create a social justice inspiring song called “Fighter.” By and large, the Lawless artist has become immortalized in the hearts and minds of his die hard fans for such hits as “Ghetto Story,” “Tic Toc” and “Vitamin S.” Make no mistake, many insiders believe, the LAWLESS album will feature some of Cham’s best work to date. According to Cham, this project allowed him to hone in on both his song-jay and deejay skills.
