33rd Annual Reggae on the River August 3-6, 2017

From August 3-6, the non-profit Mateel Community Center will present the 33rd staging of Reggae On The River. One of the world’s most iconic festival experiences, the event is set on the banks of the majestic Eel River surrounded by the redwood-forested hills of Humboldt County. Reggae on the River has presented a wide array of international reggae and world music artists to festival goers since 1984. In 2017 the event fulfills the next chapter in the festival’s legacy with global luminaries…

Slightly Stoopid, Assassin aka Agent Sasco, Walshy Fire w/ Kabaka Pyramid, J Boog, Stick Figure, Lutan Fyah & Riddem Rebel Band, Junior Kelly, Kabaka Pyramid & The Bebble Rockers, Ibibio Sound Machine, Dezarie, Culture featuring Kenyatta Hill, Ken Boothe, Perfect Giddimani, Warrior King & The Rootz Warriors, Nkulee Dube, Nattali Rize, Winston “Flames” Jarrett, Marla Brown, Prestige, Keida, Ojo de Buey, Sensimilla Dub, Mighty Mystic & The Hard Roots Movement, Yogoman Burning Band, Tatanka, Mystic Roots Band, Irie Rockers, Altar Tones, and a very special showcase with Woven Roots featuring JahDan Blakkamoore, Messenjah Selah, Army, Winstrong, Luv Fyah & Travis Roots. An additional headliner will be announced soon as well DJs, sound systems and special guest artists.

The event will also showcase more than 60 arts and crafts vendors, non-profit booths, a wide choice of food options, a lively KidLandia for the little ones, and the camping, community, and irie vibes that make Reggae On The River famous. Discounted 3 and 4-day tickets are available now at On sale now, in limited amount, is the Ambassador Pass with the ultimate in perks and access including premier camping, the Ambassador’s Lounge with bar amenities, and access to the side stage viewing deck. The option to camp in an RV is available, RV space is limited, so act fast to secure your spot. If you are in need of some extra comfort while tent camping, consider making a reservation in our new Premier Campground, which offers grassy and mixed shade camping situated a short distance from the concert bowl.
