The Mecca unveiled his sexy and extremely scenic visual to Number One Hit on social media a few days ago. The video, shot by Gnan Photography and Firstcut Studios with drone footage by Jkube Photography, features two of St. Lucia’s most breath-taking locations: Tet Paul Nature Trail and Crystal’s Tree House, both located in the western town of Soufriere.
Number One Hit, featuring three-time Groovy Soca monarch Arthur, is the Mecca’s follow-up single to Zoom Zoom which has been featured in four US television drama series on Netflix, Fox, ABC Family and Vh1. This new release further exhibits The Mecca's unique sound which incorporates strong EDM elements fused with his Hip-Hop approach and Pop vocal tones all wrapped beautifully with his Caribbean influences.
An enthralling mix of adrenaline pumping bass, explosive synths and pop culture references enveloped in a well delivered EDM sound, NUMBER ONE HIT likens a leading lady to the compelling melodies and infectious rhythm of a smash hit song. A playlist comprising tracks from Pitbull and Flo Rida is the perfect fit for this brightly flavoured dance track.
Life is The Mecca’s inspiration. He captures the essence of all that surrounds him; digging deep within his being, inking it onto paper; spilling it all onto records. His music resonates a powerful message that regardless of location, background or demographic, one never has to live within the norm. Boundaries, he believes, exist only to be crossed. All it takes is vision.
Number One Hit is available on The Mecca’s website www.youngmecca.com as well as Bandcamp, iTunes, Google Play, Amazon, and every other major digital retail outlet. It's also available on streaming services like Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal and others.
