Damian Sogren set to bring Caribbean flavour to Table Tennis World Cup

Toronto, Ontario (Sonique Solutions) – The upcoming 2017 Women’s World Cup (WWC) of Table Tennis will take place from Oct. 26th-29th in Ontario, Canada.

This year, the high level event will get a huge injection of Caribbean influence as Trinbagonian MC/event entertainer Damian Sogren has been selected as host for the internationally televised extravaganza.

With regards to his being selected as MC for the 2017 WWC of Table Tennis, the Trinidad-born event-host, actor, TV/radio presenter and spokesman shared, “It is indeed a tremendous honour to be chosen to MC such a high-calibre sporting occasion, I am very thankful for this opportunity to be host for these events and I believe this will be a great platform to showcase our one of a kind Caribbean vibe to a several audiences.”

The Women’s World Cup of Table Tennis is sanctioned by the International Table Tennis Federation and is this year being organized by Table Tennis Canada which has pulled out all the stops to ensure a first rate 2017 edition of the event that will be televised to millions across the globe in countries such as the US, Canada, China, Japan, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore & Fiji.

Regarding Damian’s participation in this year’s games, a representative from Table Tennis Canada shared, “We are excited to welcome MC Damian to our team and to have him host the entire event from Oct.26th to Oct.29th. We are eager to watch him use his exceptional showmanship, abilities and experience to bring positive attention to the 2017 WWC and make it unforgettable!”

Damian has recently served as MC for landmark events which include the 2017 IMEC International Musical Arts Festival as well as the Celebrity Connected Suite for the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival (where he worked alongside celebs such as actress Tiera Skovbye from the hit TV show Riverdale, comedian Jackie Long from The Real Husbands of Hollywood and the film ATL & NBA TV presenter and Toronto Raptors in-arena host Kat Stefankiewicz).

When asked about these various international event-hosting experiences, he stated, “It has been an awesome journey thus far and I found it particularly fulfilling to expose our unique Caribbean culture, flair and entertainment approach to so many global stars of film, television, sports and social media.”

Damian Sogren will host the banquet and opening ceremony on Oct.26th at the The Westin Prince, Toronto and the 2017 WWC from Oct. 27th - Oct.29th at the Markham Pan Am Centre.
