Miss Universe 2018: Meet the Caribbean Contestants


The 67th annual Miss Universe pageant will be held on December 16, 2018, at Impact, Muang Thong Thani in Bangkok, Thailand.

The show is will be hosted again by comedian Steve Harvey and supermodel Ashley Graham, while television personality Carson Kressley and runway coach Lu Sierra will to provide commentary and analysis throughout the event.

American singer-songwriter Ne-Yo will perform during the competition.

Ninety four (94) Contestants from across the glove will be competing for the coveted title as the reigning Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, from South Africa, will return to crown her successor.

Meet the twelve (12) contestants who will be representing the Caribbean.

 

Miss Aruba

Kimberly Julsing

Age: 20

Kimberly is currently in her second year of school studying to achieve her nursing degree.

Miss Bahamas

Danielle Grant

Age: 23

Danielle Simone Grant is a classically trained dancer having studied ballet, pointe, jazz and salsa since the age of 3.

Miss Barbados

Meghan Theobalds

Age: 27

Meghan obtained her Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies with a Specialization in Consumer Behaviour and Major in French.

Miss British Virgin Islands

Ayana Phillips

Age: 23

Ayana Phillips is pursuing a degree in Business Administration at the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College

Miss Cayman Islands

Caitlin Tyson

Age: 24

Caitlin Tyson is a professionally trained actress, model, writer and certified yoga instructor.

Miss Curacao

Akisha Albert

Age: 23

Akisha Albert is a model currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in English Education at the University of Curacao. She intends to one day work as a Teacher.

Miss Dominic Republic

Aldy Bernard

Age: 23

Aldy is a self-described multi-tasker. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications, and trained as an Accountant.

Miss Haiti

Samantha Colas

Age: 26

At the age of 14, Samantha Colas was involved in the audio-visual's world with a radio show for children. The success of it brought her to a summer TV show for children, the only one in Haiti.

Miss Jamaica

Emily Sara-Claire Maddison

Age: 19

Emily Sara-Claire Maddison is a recent high school graduate who embarked on an unpredictable journey leading to fulfilling opportunities.

Miss Puerto Rico

Kiara Ortega

Age: 25

Kiara Ortega would best describe herself as a cheerful, spontaneous, and a helpful young woman. For her, the most important thing in life is living experiences that humanize her. By being a part of the Miss Universe platform, she hopes to spread a message of hope to unite our world.

Miss St. Lucia

Angella Dalsou

Age: 24

Angella Dalsou is an outgoing 24 year old who is passionate about the needs of children on her island. She keeps busy pursuing her degree in Psychology and Human Resource Management at the University of the West Indies.

Miss U.S Virgin Islands

Aniska Tonge

Age: 27

Aniska Tonge is a recent graduate of Georgia State University with a Master's of the Arts in Mass Communication; she also works as a Content Transmission Tech.
