Kingston, Jamaica – October 3, 2025 — The home of popular dancehall entertainer Sheldon Lawrence, more widely known as Aidonia, was the subject of a police operation this morning as part of a wider sweep across the St. Andrew North Police Division.

According to police sources, officers executed a search of the deejay’s residence but reported that nothing illegal was found on the premises. However, two members of Aidonia’s close circle who were present at the time were taken into custody for questioning.

Authorities confirmed that the raid was one of several coordinated operations targeting individuals suspected of criminal activity. Several men were detained across different locations in the division and transported to the Constant Spring Police Station for further investigations.

Law enforcement officials also revealed that at least one individual was arrested under the Firearms Act in connection with today’s operations.

While Aidonia himself has not been implicated, the high-profile nature of the raid has drawn significant public attention. The entertainer, known for hits such as Yeah Yeah and Dat Easy, has not yet issued a statement regarding the incident.

Police emphasized that the sweeps form part of ongoing efforts to disrupt criminal networks and enhance security in the St. Andrew North Division, an area that has been under close watch in recent months.
