Burning Spear is one of the headliners for the Rototom Sunsplash festival, which takes place in Benicassim, Spain, from August 16 to 22.
After years of retirement from live performances he returns to Rototom for the most important event in recent reggae history.
The event's promoters made the announcement on their website this week, after a two-year hiatus due to Covid-19. Spear makes an appearance on the final day.
Organizers wrote
“We have been dreaming about this moment for many years, and finally, the day has come: Burning Spear will be part of the next edition festival.”

The Rototom festival is one of the biggest reggae events. The show was the last held in 2019, and the 2020 and 2021 shows were canceled due to Covid-19.
