The Caribbean island of Nevis is officially trading its "hidden gem" status for a starring role. Known for its volcanic landscapes and historic charm, the island serves as the breathtaking heart of Lifetime’s upcoming romantic drama, Terry McMillan Presents: Paradise with You.
Scheduled to premiere in Fall 2026 as part of the network’s "Love of a Lifetime" slate, the film marks a high-profile creative reunion. This project is the fourth collaboration between legendary bestselling author Terry McMillan and SAG Award winner Taye Diggs, promising the kind of chemistry that has made their previous pairings fan favorites.
A Tale of Ambition and Island Romance
In Paradise with You, the serene shores of Nevis provide more than just a pretty view—they set the stage for a high-stakes romantic rivalry.
The Plot: Carter (Taye Diggs), an NFL superstar facing retirement, retreats to Nevis for a "reset." There, he crosses paths with Simone (Heather Hemmens), an interior designer rebuilding her life after a personal betrayal.
The Twist: Their effortless island connection hits a snag when they realize they are both vying to purchase the exact same historic estate.
The Cast: Joining Diggs and Hemmens (who also serves as Executive Producer) is Cynthia Bailey, along with Troy Brookins and Q Stenline (SwagBoyQ).
Directed by Patricia Frontain and written by Ejay Jamison, the production leaned heavily into the island’s authentic textures, filming at secluded beaches and lush estates facilitated by the Nevis Film Commission.
Breaking New Ground: The "Microdrama"
Lifetime isn't just sticking to the traditional TV movie format. In a first for the network, the film will be accompanied by a digital-first companion series titled Tides of Temptation.
Format: A "microdrama" consisting of ultra-short episodes shot in vertical video, specifically designed for mobile audiences and social media scrolling.
Story: Also set on Nevis, this digital series stars Mea Wilkerson as a young woman who falls for an
athlete played by Q Stenline.

For the Nevis Tourism Authority (NTA), this production is a major win for the island’s visibility. "To see our island serve as the backdrop for Paradise with You is incredibly meaningful," says Andia Ravariere, CEO of the NTA.
By hosting major productions—following in the footsteps of Lionsgate’s A Week in Paradise—Nevis is proving it can offer filmmakers a rare blend of heritage architecture and logistical efficiency.
