PCF: South Beach will take over Caymanas Golf & Country Club on October 16, kicking off Jamaica’s Greatness Weekend 2026.

After a decade of building one of Jamaica’s recognizable pool-party experiences, Pool Cooler Fete (PCF) is preparing to celebrate its 10th anniversary with a milestone edition inspired by the energy and style of Miami’s South Beach.

PCF: South Beach is set for Friday, October 16, 2026, at Caymanas Golf & Country Club, where the event will officially launch Greatness Weekend 2026, a four-event Heroes Weekend entertainment series.

The concept was born after PCF promoters Curtis Hyatt, Sean Davis and Lorenzo Thomas experienced Miami’s South Beach during Memorial Day weekend. The atmosphere, fashion and lifestyle of the destination sparked an idea: bring some of that experience back to Jamaica while keeping PCF’s distinctly Jamaican identity.

Rather than attempting to recreate Miami, the promoters plan to reinterpret the South Beach aesthetic through the music, fashion, food and party culture that have helped define PCF over the past decade.

From a Kingston Hotel to a 10-Year Milestone

PCF’s anniversary also provides an opportunity to look back at how the event began.

The first Pool Cooler Fete was staged at the Olympia Crown Hotel in 2016, at a time when much of Kingston’s nightlife revolved around clubs and traditional dances.

Hyatt and his partners believed Jamaica’s tropical climate provided an opportunity to create something different — an outdoor party built around the pool, coolers, music and fashion.

“When we started PCF, most people were going to clubs and dances, and we wanted to offer something outside of that usual setting,” Hyatt said.

“We live in a tropical country, so why not make use of the outdoors? Ten years later, we were in Miami for Memorial Weekend, experiencing South Beach, and the thought came to us again: why not bring some of that experience home?”

For Hyatt, the anniversary edition represents both a celebration of the event’s history and an opportunity to evolve the concept.

“This anniversary is about giving Jamaica South Beach, but with a Jamaican twist,” he added.

PCF Evolves for Its 10th Anniversary

Since its 2016 debut, Pool Cooler Fete has developed into a twice-yearly fixture on Jamaica’s entertainment calendar.

Its formula has combined the traditional cooler-fête concept with a poolside setting, music, fashion and celebrity appearances. Food has also become an increasingly prominent part of the experience, while organizers credit consistency and an emphasis on safety as important factors in the event’s longevity.

For the 10th-anniversary staging, those familiar elements will remain, but PCF: South Beach is expected to introduce additional experiences.

Among the new offerings will be a food-inclusive VIP option, expanding the event beyond its traditional pool-party format.

The South Beach theme will also influence the event’s visual presentation and fashion, giving patrons an opportunity to embrace the destination-inspired aesthetic without losing the Jamaican character at the heart of PCF.

PCF Opens Greatness Weekend 2026

PCF: South Beach will serve as the opening event of Greatness Weekend, which will run across Jamaica’s Heroes Weekend from October 16 through October 19.

Following PCF on Friday night, the weekend continues with RECALL: Straight Jeans & Fitted on Saturday, October 17.

On Sunday, October 18, CUPS: Château Blanc will deliver a premium, food-inclusive breakfast-party experience.

The four-event series concludes on National Heroes Day, Monday, October 19, with the Greatness Pink & White Brunch, another premium food-inclusive event.

Together, the four concepts are designed to offer distinct experiences across one of Jamaica’s major holiday weekends.

Ten Years of Pool Cooler Fete

For PCF, however, October 16 is more than the beginning of Greatness Weekend.

Reaching the 10-year mark represents a significant milestone in Jamaica’s competitive entertainment industry, where party concepts frequently emerge but building an event brand capable of maintaining an audience over a decade presents a different challenge.

PCF began with a relatively simple idea in 2016: take advantage of Jamaica’s climate and give partygoers an alternative to the conventional nightclub experience.

A decade later, the event is returning to that same philosophy of experimentation.

This time, the inspiration comes from South Beach — but the promoters are betting that the Jamaican interpretation will ultimately be what makes the anniversary memorable.

PCF: South Beach takes place Friday, October 16, 2026, at Caymanas Golf & Country Club in Jamaica.
