Trinidad & Tobago dancehall don Prince Swanny has shared his latest single “Shake” featuring Skillibeng today, along with the details and artwork for his forthcoming album, Swanology.

Swanology will drop Friday, Sept. 30 through Swanny’s ZTekk Entertainment, and Equity Distribution (EQ), the new indie distribution company from Roc Nation. The album is Swanny’s second, following 2021’s Serenity, and the first dancehall project from EQ. Collaborators on the project include Skillibeng, U.K. rapper Not3s, French dancehall star Kalash and producers Stadic, Jonny Blaze and Trini Baby.

Trinidad and Jamaica connect on “Shake,” which premiered today via Complex. The X-rated track, produced by Trinidad’s Chady Beats and Zayah Dan, reunites two of the Caribbean’s most exciting young stars, in Prince Swanny — who popularized the TriniBad dancehall movement currently bursting out of Trinidad & Tobago — and Skillibeng, the breakout star of Jamaica’s trap dancehall wave. The duo previously collaborated on “Bad Everyday” from Skillibeng’s 2021 release, The Prodigy.

“Skilli is meh bro from long time,” Prince Swanny says of Skillibeng. “Since he started his career, we been talking. He’s a good artist, I must say.”

With over 215 million YouTube views and 250,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, Prince Swanny is one of the Caribbean’s most popular young artists. The 24-year-old known to fans as Swan Dann helped put TriniBad on the map with hit songs like “Go Fi Dem” and “Dreams,” heralding the arrival of Trinidad & Tobago’s fresh, youthful and sometimes controversial spin on dancehall.

Swanny’s growing profile overseas has earned him the attention of Drake, Burna Boy, Bobby Shmurda, Kodak Black, Sean Paul, Yo Gotti, Trinidad James and Popcaan, each of whom have shared or endorsed his music on social media.

Launched in 2019 by Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, Equity Distribution is a global music distribution platform that helps artists distribute their music worldwide while empowering them to maintain ownership of their masters. Alicia Keys, Kelly Rowland, Tokischa and Fat Joe are among the acts currently working with Equity to release their music.

“Shake” is the third single from Swanology. “Govern,” a street anthem produced by Chady Beatz, was issued in July; “Against The World,” produced by 47 On Da Beat, dropped in August.
