Dancehall sensation Shenseea, triumphed at 2021 Britain's Music Of Black Origin (MOBO) Award, which returned with their first live show since 2017.
Held on Sunday night in the British city of Coventry, the MOBOs, which honour Music of Black Origin, saw Shenseea copping the Best Reggae Act. Other nominees in this category were Lila Ike, Spice, Popcaan, Sean Paul, and Skillibeng.
The announcement was made on MOBO’s official Instagram page, and Shenseea responded with a mixture of emojis and a post on Instagram. "I won a MOBO Award," she posted. "Thank you to all who voted."
The event was hosted Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Munya Chawawa
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the annual MOBOs, which began in 1996, went on hiatus in 2017 and were held virtually last year.
