Dominican artist Trilla-G is putting emerging Bouyon talent at the forefront with the launch of “Up Next Cypher,” a new platform bringing rising voices together on one beat and giving them an opportunity to reach a wider audience.

Released through his Still Trill Entertainment, “Up Next Cypher Vol. 1” features G’z Up, Don Lash, Pa Pel, Avatar Omish, Ras B and Pryhmex alongside Trilla-G, whose real name is Gael Jno. Baptiste. Each artist takes a turn at the microphone, introducing listeners to their individual style, delivery and personality.

The lineup includes Phillip Martin, known as G’z Up; Cadeem McPherson, who performs as Don Lash; Loic Arius, known as Pa Pel; Omari Dayl James, who performs as Avatar Omish; Bayna Bellot, known as Ras B; and Ajahlie Ettienne, who performs as Pryhmex.

Produced by Shane Massicott of Kwib La Beats and mixed and mastered by ThaWizZarD, Cecil Joseph Jr., the track follows the classic cypher format: multiple artists sharing a single beat, with each performer given space to make an impression.

For Trilla-G, the project grew out of an idea he had been considering for some time, coupled with requests from young artists hoping to collaborate or gain exposure through his platform.

“I always wanted to do a Bouyon cypher,” Trilla-G said in a statement announcing the release. “Most of the guys you see in the video had already reached out to me at some point about working together or getting a chance to showcase their talent. Since I already had the idea of doing a cypher and wanted to put multiple people on, it just made sense.”

That approach gives the project a purpose beyond a single release. By bringing several emerging performers into one production, “Up Next Cypher” offers listeners an introduction to artists they may not yet know while creating an opportunity for those performers to build their own following.

The accompanying video was filmed at The Lot Bar and Grill by Shane St. Claire of Sois Génial Multimedia. Trilla-G directed the production with his manager and creative collaborator, Tridel “Wins” Edwin.

According to the release, the video has sparked discussion across social media, with viewers weighing in on the featured artists, their performances and the future of Bouyon. Trilla-G said the response has surpassed his original expectations.

“Honestly, the response has exceeded my expectations,” he said. “When I did it, I just wanted people to pay attention to the artists and show them some love, but the response has been overwhelming.”

He now plans to develop the concept through additional volumes, introducing more talent as the platform grows. He is also encouraging the first group of featured artists to make the most of the attention generated by the release.

“Right now, I just want to continue it and try to grow it as much as possible — continue introducing new talent,” he said.

The launch follows Trilla-G’s New York Labor Day weekend performance and comes ahead of his scheduled appearance at Dominica’s World Creole Music Festival on Saturday, October 24. The festival runs October 23–25, 2026, at Windsor Park Sports Stadium in Roseau.

Trilla-G has also teased another music release, although a title and release date have not yet been announced.

For now, “Up Next Cypher Vol. 1” places the focus on the emerging performers sharing his platform. With more installments planned, the project could become a recurring introduction to new voices in Dominica’s Bouyon scene.
