Jethro Decimus is an international music artist, compositor and producer. He was born on the Dutch side of the island Sint-Maarten, in the very heart of the Caribbean, of Haitian descent. Jethro was raised and also received his early education on the French side of the island. Jethro is fluent in French, Creole and English.
The art of music has been part of Jethro’s life since the age of five. However, he began writing and producing his own music in 2012. Through his musical journey, he finds music to impact him in such a profound and meaningful way that often times words seem to be insufficient to express his passion. He loves exploring different culture and their musical background. Some of his musical influences include Bob Marley, Wyclef Jean, Black Alex, and Sara Tavares, among many others.
Jethro strives to live a lifestyle centered on love, unity, peace, and hope, and these attributes are reflected in his music.
On Nov. 18th, 2016 - Jethro Decimus released his first music video entitled "EXODUS"
Besides the video, Jethro has also released his first debut EP/album entitle "EXODUS", which is available on all legal digital platforms. This five song EP tells the story of his journey and his culture. The album has two main goals: to show the human race that we are all looking for some sort of freedom and that we are in dire need of help that the human power cannot manufacture.
He's music leaves one in a reflection stage. Jethro’s music genre is Fusion, a World genre, which is a mixture of an Afro-Caribbean rhythmic pattern.
