Bureau of Prisons Denies Diddy Fight With Jamaican Christopher ‘Dudus’ Coke

Federal prison officials have denied claims that Sean “Diddy” Combs was involved in a physical altercation with Jamaican Christopher “Dudus” Coke, casting doubt on reports that the music mogul sustained a head injury during a fight at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey.

According to an October 15, 2026 report from TMZ, the U.S. Bureau of Prisons said the reported confrontation did not happen. The denial follows widespread coverage of allegations linking Coke, a former Jamaican criminal figure, to an incident involving Combs.

What Did Prison Officials Say?

TMZ reported that a Bureau of Prisons spokesperson described the fight story as false. Officials did not publicly provide an explanation for the separate reports of a head injury, leaving the circumstances of any medical incident unclear.

The agency’s response directly contradicts the initial account of a violent confrontation. At this stage, there is no independently verified evidence establishing that Coke assaulted Combs.

How the Allegations Began

Earlier reports claimed tensions arose among inmates following publicity about Combs’ prison conditions and alleged contraband. According to those accounts, searches and confiscations led to friction that supposedly escalated into a fight. Those claims remain unverified and are disputed by federal prison officials.

Because the allegations involved both a prominent American entertainer and one of Jamaica’s most notorious former criminal figures, the story spread quickly across entertainment and Caribbean news platforms.

Conflicting Accounts of a Reported Injury

TMZ has also reported that Combs received medical attention following a reported head injury. Other accounts have suggested an accidental injury involving a bunk bed rather than an assault. None of these competing explanations has been conclusively established through publicly released medical documentation.

The distinction matters: a report of medical treatment does not, by itself, establish that a fight occurred or identify who caused an injury.

Why Christopher ‘Dudus’ Coke Is Part of the Story

Coke, formerly associated with the Shower Posse and Tivoli Gardens in West Kingston, was extradited to the United States in 2010 and sentenced in federal court in 2012. His involvement in the original allegations drew particular attention in Jamaica.

The U.S. Bureau of Prisons inmate locator has listed Coke’s projected release date as January 28, 2029. That date should not be presented as proof that any punishment or sentence extension resulted from the disputed Diddy story.

What Is Confirmed—and What Remains Unclear

The most important new development is the reported official denial of the alleged fight. Questions about Combs’ reported injury remain separate from the allegation that Coke was involved. Until additional verified information emerges, the confrontation should be described as disputed rather than factual.

Caribbean EMagazine will continue to distinguish confirmed official statements from allegations as further information becomes available.
