Sharon Marley

Sharon Marley is making a comeback to the stage after a 20-year hiatus. Sharon is best known for her music and performances with the legendary three-time Grammy award-winning Reggae group Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers.

Butterflies in the Sky is a vibrant, groovy, and intimately mellow work of music. Sharon Marley takes us on a cosmic journey through the Universe, with the single produced by K-Jah Sound on the aptly named Asteroid Riddim. K-Jah is a 20-year Reggae Music veteran with Polish roots. K-Jah brings a love of reggae music and a variety of instrumentation from musicians such as Bartek Drozd, Olaf Wgier, Szymon Chudy, Bartek Bhakti, and Jan Gembala. Oneness Records' mix and mastering with Umberto Echo takes the sound to an impeccably magical place.

The song is "a subtle mix of Reggae, Soul, Jazz, and passion," according to K-Jah Sound. Sharon also gathered a group of talented singers to provide background vocals. Her long-time mentor Ricky Walters, Fab 5, Nyanda, Brick n Lace, Paul Bent, Virgo, and her son Ingemar Prendergast, who co-wrote Butterflies in the Sky, are among them. Donisha Prendergast, a filmmaker and director, will direct the visuals, which will address physical and spiritual evolution. "Family and Music is what I know best," Sharon says of this song.

We all have different ways of experiencing ourselves as humans. Sharon's sweet voice elevates the human experience by filling the vast space between the earth and the sky with cosmic grooves, light energy, and happy memories. Sharon's voice, combined with K-Jah Sound's music, adds a high level of Art to the musical and visual experience.

The song and video will be released today by Zojak WorldWide and will be available on Sharon Marley's official website.
