Chance the Rapper and Vic Mensa are making waves once again as they touch down in Jamaica to plan their next big event, the Black Star Line Festival. The festival, named after Marcus Garvey's historic company, aims to connect black Americans to black diasporas abroad and stimulate economic activity in the places where the festival is held.

Last year, the festival made its debut in Accra, Ghana, and was a huge success. The event drew in over 52,000 attendees and featured some of the biggest names in music, including Erykah Badu, Jeremih, and T-Pain. The festival was free to attend, and the artists involved were thrilled to be a part of something that brought so many people together.

Following the success of the Ghana event, Chance and Vic announced that they were considering bringing the festival to Jamaica in 2024. Now, they have touched down on the island to begin planning the event in earnest. Mensa shared photos of himself enjoying the beach in Ocho Rios, while the Black Star Line Fest Instagram page shared a photo of him relaxing on the beach while taking a phone call. The festival organizers have also linked up with international superstar Popcaan, and the trio was spotted at a bar together. Mensa even shared a video of himself and Chance by the toll stop in St. Catherine. It's clear that the artists are taking their commitment to the festival seriously and are working hard to make it a success.

The Black Star Line Festival is about more than just music. It's about connecting people from all over the world and creating a community in other spaces. By bringing the festival to Jamaica, Chance and Vic are helping to stimulate economic activity on the island and bring attention to the rich cultural heritage of the Caribbean.

Overall, the Black Star Line Festival is an important event that has the potential to bring people together and create positive change in the world. With Chance and Vic at the helm, it's sure to be a success, and we can't wait to see what they have in store for us in 2024.
