Season 11 of the hit British–French crime drama television series 'Death in Paradise' has a new addition to the Saint Marie Police Department. Shantol Jackson, a Jamaican actress, has been cast as filming on the BBC One comedy-thriller begins in Guadeloupe.
Sergeant Naomi Thomas, a young detective who has transferred across from a nearby island, is played by the former model.
Jackson revealed her delight with her casting in an interview with the Daily Mail in the United Kingdom. “I used to watch Death in Paradise with my father in Jamaica when it first started years ago, and now that I'm in the program, knowing that he'll be watching me, it's a bizarre experience. I'm excited to contribute to the magic.”
Shantol has previously appeared in Yardie and Sprinter, but this is her first major TV role.
