Given how we live in the age where nearly everything has something to do with the internet, you could always stream something online on platforms such as Netflix, provided that you have a superfast internet connection. Coming back to sad movies, it would be very likely that you are looking for some really good sad movies to watch, the kind that would leave you ugly-crying for a while. Read on to find out about our picks for when it comes to watching sad movies and TV shows. However, do keep in mind that some of these shows and movies might be triggering for you, so tread carefully! The Sky is Pink Though this is a Bollywood movie, it is the kind that will have you crying out of sadness, and it will also have you crying out of happiness as well. The movie stars the brilliant Farhan Akhtar alongside Priyanka Chopra-Jonas and Zaira Wasim. The movie is drawn from a true story about an 18-year-old girl called Aisha Chaudhry, who had a very rare case of pulmonary fibrosis and passed away sadly. The movie is about Aisha and her family, the ups and downs that they face together, and how Aisha’s family stops at nothing to get her treated. The movie teaches you how to deal with grief and how it is important to stick together no matter how hard the circumstances tend to get. Though the movie is in Hindi, you can still have it dubbed into English on Netflix so that you won’t miss out on the movie! BoJack Horseman Even though the whole of the show is that of a cartoon, BoJack Horseman is the kind of show that just hits you like a truck. The show is about a horse called BoJack who used to be a star of a hit show called “Horsin’ Around,” but eventually, BoJack begins losing his limelight. After he turns into a washed-up Hollywood actor, he begins his journey of substance abuse, self-destructive behavior, and sheer cynicism. If you really want to watch something that is true to reality and hits home, then you should definitely have BoJack Horseman on your list. It might seem a little boring at first, but eventually, it starts getting interesting! The Haunting of Hill House Most definitely one of Mike Flanagan’s masterpieces. The Haunting of Hill House is based on the hit novel of the same name by Shirley Jackson, which was released back in 1959. Not only is the show sad, but it is definitely among the best horror shows of all time, something that Mike Flanagan is best known for. The story is about a family that moves into the infamous Hill House and how the spirits have an effect on each of them. Every episode is dedicated to one family member, which makes the show stand out. However, there is an incident that happens during the childhood of all siblings and one when they are young. Once that happens, each family member grieves in a different way, and the show is all about that. The story moves back and forth between the past and the present. The Haunting of Hill House is the kind of show that you just cannot miss, so make sure that you have it high up on your list. The show will make you scream in fright, and it will make you tear up because of the sad moments, so be sure to have a box of tissues ready! The movie is about a young boy called Finch who comes across a girl called Violet as he is out for a run. Violet is about to put an end to her life, and Finch successfully talks her out of it. The two of them form a bond, and it turns out that Violet has had survivor’s guilt of a car crash that killed her sister. However, things eventually open further, and Violet learns that Finch is also fighting his own battles and why he prefers to be on his own. Now the question is, will Violet and Finch be able to save each other from their own internal darknesses? You will have to watch the movie to find out! 13 Reasons Why Warning, this section might be triggering to some audiences. Imagine how cruel it would be if you lost your friend, who also happened to be someone who you loved more than you would probably love yourself. That is exactly what 13 Reasons Why is about. The show is based on the novel of the same name by Jay Asher. It revolves around the story of Hannah Baker, a young and beautiful teenager who was bullied enough to put an end to her life. However, she records and releases a set of 13 tapes that explain why she did what she did, and she holds everyone accountable for it. The tapes then eventually come to Clay Jensen, who was a close friend of Hannah’s and also loved her a lot. Thus begins Clay’s journey of figuring out the truth and trying to bring justice to Hannah and Hannah’s family. The show really teaches you how to deal with the passing of a loved one and how you should stop at nothing if you really love someone. Pieces of a Woman Pieces of a Woman is a movie that came out back in 2020, and it shows the struggles of a woman when a delivery goes bad. The movie stars Vanessa Kirby as Martha and Shia LaBeouf as Sean, and the story is about how they are expecting their first child together. However, when it is time to deliver the baby, things go horribly wrong.  While trying to give birth at home, things take a wrong turn, and the baby does not survive. The movie then shows how everyone deals with the grief of loss and what an impact it has on everyone in the family. The family must figure out how they need to proceed further, whether it is with each other or without. End Note Sometimes, the best way to let out your sadness and negative emotions is to cry it out. All you need is a good tear-jerker movie or show that would help get your emotions out. However, you should still try to keep your mood up all the time, but whatever it is will most certainly pass. All you need to do is to stay strong through it all! FAQs Is the Haunting of Hill House Scary or Sad? The Haunting of Hill House is both scary and sad, so you will feel a mix of emotions. Is All the Bright Places a Good Movie? Yes, All the Bright Places is one of the saddest movies that you can watch. Is BoJack Horseman Funny or Sad? • How To Become a Digital Nomad in the Caribbean

Imagine yourself sitting by the ocean and working while listening to undulating waves along the shore. Learn to live in the Caribbean as a digital nomad. The Caribbean, a dreamy chain of islands famous for its beaches and culture, is not just a vacation destination—it’s a hotspot for digital nomads. If you’re envisioning your days toggling between endless drinks and typing away on a sun-drenched beach, well, we need to address a tiny misconception right off the bat. The truth is, you’re more likely to find locals and seasoned nomads enjoying the local fare and working in local businesses or co-working spaces than laying in the sun all day. But that’s not to say being a lifestyle digital nomad in the Caribbean isn’t possible. In fact, it is with the right steps. Here’s how to become a digital nomad in the Caribbean. Step 1: Figure Out the Visa Situation The first thing you have to do—and this is a must before packing your bags—is to determine your visa requirements. Many Caribbean islands offer specific visa programs for digital nomads. These digital nomad visas often require proof of income. In return, they grant you the liberty to work and live in paradise for extended periods. Look into each island’s requirements, as they can vary significantly. Step 2: Choose Your Island Wisely Not all Caribbean islands are created equal in terms of connectivity, community, and cost of living. Some, like Barbados or the Bahamas, have made significant advances in attracting digital nomads with robust internet services and supportive communities. Others might enchant you with their beauty but challenge your patience with less reliable Wi-Fi. Step 3: Pack Your Bags (and Tech) A seamless transition to a digital nomad lifestyle in the Caribbean relies heavily on what you pack, especially your tech gear. When designing a new nomad life in the Caribbean, looking over a digital nomad tech checklist is very helpful. Essentials include a reliable laptop, noise-canceling headphones for those beachside working sessions, power adaptors compatible with the local outlets, and a sturdy, water-resistant backpack. Step 4: Build a Routine and Community Adapting to the nomad life means finding a balance between work and play. Establish a routine that allows you to explore your surroundings while staying productive. Engaging with the local digital nomad community through meetups or co-working spaces can provide invaluable support and enhance your experience in the Caribbean. Step 5: Connect With the Locals As we stated already, you can’t live in a new environment without exploring the culture and becoming acquainted with the change. With so many digital nomads already living and working in these towns, you don’t become an exception. Be active about learning and embracing the Caribbean lifestyle by connecting with the community. The Caribbean offers a unique blend of challenges and rewards for those willing to venture into its waters. Use this advice on how to become a digital nomad in the Caribbean if you want unbeatable work-life balance, “office” views, and local vibes that fuel your creativity and productivity.

  • The Five Love Languages: Keeping the Spark Alive in Your Relationship

Have you ever felt like you and your partner are speaking different languages when it comes to love? You might shower them with compliments, but they crave quality time together. Or maybe you go all out with gifts, but their heart desires a helping hand with chores. These situations can leave both partners feeling unloved and disconnected. This is where the concept of the Five Love Languages comes in. Developed by relationship expert Dr. Gary Chapman, the Five Love Languages identify the primary ways people express and receive love. By understanding your partner's Love Language, you can learn to speak their emotional language and build a stronger, more fulfilling relationship. The Five Love Languages: 1.Words of Affirmation: People who value this language thrive on compliments, words of encouragement, and expressions of affection. They feel loved when their partner verbally validates their efforts, appreciates their qualities, and tells them "I love you." 2. Acts of Service: For these individuals, actions speak louder than words. Taking out the trash, running errands, or cooking dinner are all ways of showing love and care. They feel appreciated when their partner lightens their load and demonstrates their love through helpful deeds. 3. Receiving Gifts:  This isn't about materialism, but rather the thoughtfulness behind the gift. A small token, a bouquet of flowers, or a gift chosen specifically because it reminded you of them – these gestures make them feel loved and valued. 4. Quality Time:  For some, quality time is the key to feeling loved. They crave focused, uninterrupted attention from their partner. This could involve putting away distractions, engaging in conversation, or simply enjoying shared activities. 5. Physical Touch: Physical touch is essential for this Love Language. Holding hands, cuddling, kissing, or even a back rub are all ways to express love and connection. Understanding Your Partner's Love Language: Imagine John, who speaks the language of Acts of Service. He might spend hours cleaning the house to surprise his partner, Sarah, who values Words of Affirmation. While John feels loved through his efforts, Sarah might feel unappreciated because she craves verbal expressions of love. This creates a disconnect. Here's how to identify your partner's Love Language: Pay attention to their compliments: What kind of compliments do they give? Do they focus on actions (Acts of Service) or words (Words of Affirmation)? Notice what they request: Do they ask for help with chores (Acts of Service) or quality time together (Quality Time)? Consider their reactions: What makes them light up? Verbal praise (Words of Affirmation), thoughtful gifts (Receiving Gifts), or a relaxing massage (Physical Touch)? Keeping the Spark Alive: Once you understand your partner's Love Language, you can tailor your actions to speak their emotional language. Here are some tips: Words of Affirmation: Leave love notes, write heartfelt messages, and offer genuine compliments regularly. Acts of Service:  Surprise them by taking on a chore they dislike, or run errands to free up their time. Receiving Gifts: It doesn't have to be expensive. A small token that shows you were thinking of them can mean a lot. Quality Time:  Put away distractions, plan date nights, or simply enjoy their company while doing everyday activities. Physical Touch:  Hold hands, cuddle, or give them a massage. Even small gestures of physical affection can speak volumes. Remember: Love Languages can evolve:  Our needs can change over time. Keep communicating and be open to learning your partner's evolving Love Language. It's a two-way street:  Discover your own Love Language and communicate it to your partner. Open communication is key: Talk openly about your expectations and how you feel loved. By understanding and utilizing the Five Love Languages, you can bridge the communication gap, create a more fulfilling relationship, and keep the spark alive for years to come. Take the Quiz: Numerous online quizzes can help you identify your Love Language and your partner's.

The creamy coconut curry sauce is bursting with warm spices and a touch of sweetness, perfectly complementing the flaky salmon. Plus, it's incredibly versatile! Feel free to add your favorite vegetables or protein for a more customized meal. Thai Coconut Curry Salmon Recipe: Ingredients: Salmon fillets (4-6 oz each) - skin-on or skinless, your preference! 1 tablespoon olive or vegetable oil 1 tablespoon grated ginger 2 cloves garlic, minced 2 tablespoons Thai red curry paste 1 can coconut milk (full-fat) 1 tablespoon brown sugar 2 tablespoons fish sauce (optional) Limes (juice and zest) Green onions (chopped) or cilantro (fresh) Vegetables (optional): bell peppers, broccoli, snow peas, etc. Cooked jasmine rice, for serving Instructions: Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a large skillet or pan over medium heat. Sear the salmon skin-side down (if using skin-on) for a few minutes until golden brown. Flip and cook for another minute or two, depending on the thickness of the fillets. Transfer the cooked salmon to a plate. In the same pan, add a bit more oil if needed, then saute the ginger and garlic until fragrant. Stir in the Thai red curry paste and cook for another minute, allowing the flavors to release. Pour in the coconut milk, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Add the brown sugar, fish sauce (if using), and lime juice. Bring to a simmer and let the flavors meld for a few minutes. If using vegetables, add them to the simmering curry and cook until tender-crisp. Gently return the salmon fillets to the pan and spoon the sauce over them. Simmer for a couple of minutes to heat through. Garnish with chopped green onions or fresh cilantro and a squeeze of lime zest. Serve over jasmine rice and enjoy! Tips: Don't overcook the salmon! It should be flaky and moist when done. Adjust the amount of curry paste to your desired spice level. For a thicker sauce, whisk a cornstarch slurry (cornstarch mixed with a little water) into the simmering curry. This recipe is easily doubled or tripled to feed a crowd. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. This Thai Coconut Curry Salmon is a delicious and satisfying meal that's perfect for a busy weeknight. With its vibrant flavors and healthy ingredients, it's sure to become a go-to recipe in your kitchen. So, ditch the takeout menu and whip up this restaurant-worthy dish at home!
